Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR ) is an assist, support, or a self-commitment from an organization to enhance the well-being of the community, conserve the environment, or improve the way of living of employment in the own company. CSR project can drive the humanitarian programs that create a great impact on the company image. Also, CSR can be an environment sustainability or conservation project that get recognition at the globally presence. Or else CSR program can be a program that uplift the lifestyle of their own employees. Ultimate expectation of CSR program is to ensure the well-being of the society and obtained good recognition to the company from the community too. Most of the leading companies in the world are placed their brand image in the global presence through taking over the social responsibilities.
World
Business Council for Sustainable development explained the CSR as continuing
commitment by business to behave ethically and economic development while
improving the quality of life of the employees and their families as well as
the local community and society at large
CSR
concept aims on the corporate self-guidelines mainly correlated with ethical
issues, human rights, health & safety, environmental protection, social
& environmental reporting, and charitable initiatives involving support for
community projects and goodwill

Resources Management involvement in CSR activities
Human
Resource management is the key driving mechanism of CSR activities in an
organization. That must be a value adding activity to both community as well as
the organization. Leadership can be suggested a CSR activity, based on the understanding
of the community requirements, and needs to get certain advantages. In great
organizations, CSR project performance have assigned as a critical performance
indicator for the HRM leadership. Therefore, most HRM leadership has put their
fullest effort to drive projects and return positive results to the
organization. In this case HRM leadership focus critically on below areas to
develop CSR projects and show great perforce by introduce new concepts through
these areas.

Understanding
the social requirements, HRM take initiatives to develop and organize the
activities. They can be focused and fulfilled the basic needs of community such
as shelter and sanitation, as well as some next level requirements like provide
solution for the noneducation, nonhygienic, and unemployment of the society. Sometimes
they must immediately take actions for resettlement of people due to natural
disasters as well. But some Non-government organizations might focus on to
solve the highest-level requirements such as ethnic problems, religious problems.

support to maintain or sustain the environment.
In the
modern world, everyone’s focus is to conserve the world. Because human
activities have impacted drastically on natural resources. Environmental
pollution, ocean pollution, soil pollution, air pollution and disasters to
forest and animals are mainly focus areas. To reduce these impact certain
initiatives has been taken in the global context. Organization developed forums
and policies to come to an agreement and signed off some code of conducts to
reduce their impact to the environment and the nature. In these initiatives
also, HR management has given leadership and drive with massive and attractive
projects to conserve the environment in each aspect.
Key
driving mechanism of HRM in CSR
Driving a mega scale CSR activity is not an easy task for an
organization. To make the activity success, each employee should contribute
level of their best for the event. Therefore, HRM should develop proper
policies and sustainable practices with the support of employees. Prepare the
mindset and attitude of the employees are the crucial part for a great
achievement. Build the interest to support to the community and get
self-satisfaction from the task also great winning fact from the employee
perspective. To drive this, HRM put their fullest effort and mind time.
Therefore, aligning the total employees to a one direction is the most
successful secret behind in a great CSR project.
Also engage with the community and spread a good image of the company,
read the social perception about the company, and take necessary action to
change into right platforms are key approaches of HRM in a CSR activity. By
building up a relationship with the community, that supported lot for the
stability of the organization. Community blessing always encourage the growth
of the business.
In
addition to that, HR use the CSR project as great opportunity to attract
employees to the organization. HR management has introduced the people who have
the right skill, attitude, talent, and other attributes that nourish the
business environment with the support of these CSR activities. Therefore, HRM
leadership is an important and influencing factor for a successful launch of
CSR activities in an organization.
Conclusion
As a
great organization, support for the well-being of the communities, commitment to
conserve the environment and the nature and uplift lifestyle of the own employees
are key responsibilities. Therefore, most leading organizations involve providing
some solutions to improve these areas. This approach called as Corporate social
responsibility. Clever leaderships use this as an opportunity to strategically grow
the business, establish a good image in the global presence, and good talent to
the organization as an indirect return from the CSR projects. To give the
leadership to this massive task, HRM taking the commanding role of the organization.

When a company decides to make corporate responsibility a priority, it must be more innovative and creative. You cannot "go on as usual".
